Midnight Fest is a new horror film festival launching this fall in Boston.
From October 1–5, the historic Capitol Theatre in Arlington will host five nights of screenings, conversations, and encounters with the strange.

This is our first year, but the idea behind Midnight Fest has been with us for a long time: we’re here to create a space where horror films aren’t just consumed and forgotten, but truly experienced, talked about, and remembered.

We want to give filmmakers more than just a slot in a screening. We want to give them an audience that’s ready to lean forward, laugh nervously, appreciate these films, and stay for the Q&A. And we want to give audiences an encounter with something unexpected: discover a new favorite, reconnect with a cult classic, or experience a film that sets the perfect vibe for October.

Submissions are now closed, and the lineup is set. Across five days you’ll see premieres, revival screenings, shorts, features, and  special guests — all part of a program designed to celebrate horror in its many forms.
